Frequently Asked Questions.

QUESTION:

I’ve taken public speaking class in college and presentation skills training at the last company I worked for. What makes your programs different (better!)?

ANSWER:

I separate delivery from content training. It makes my instruction and coaching much more focused and effective. My customers claim they take away much more than from previous classes.

QUESTION:

I’m pretty comfortable speaking in front of an audience. How can I be sure your program will be worth my time?

ANSWER:

Some of my most appreciative participants are the seasoned veterans. They have already discovered how speaking more effectively helps their organization and careers. They’re often surprised to learn how quickly they can take their effectiveness to the next level. They’re reminded that speaker excellence is a journey, not a destination.

QUESTION:

Most business presentations are dull. How can I spice up my next report to upper management?

ANSWER:

You’ve probably got a choice. It could simply be a matter of doing a better job of targeting your message to the people sitting in front of you. Or maybe you need to do a better job of connecting to your content. Make sure you’re interested before we figure out how to make you more interesting. Then there’s the issue of nervousness which often sucks the energy right out of your delivery style.

It all starts with an objective assessment. No guessing allowed!

QUESTION:

How do you make sure the improvements we agree on stick?

ANSWER:

90 days free consultation for starters! That can take a variety of forms – help with an upcoming presentation or critique of talk you had recorded on video or audio. I also encourage a follow-up session for all my clients 3 to 4 months down the road from any intensive 2-day training program to handle specific concerns and a whole new set of challenges. The journey continues!

QUESTION:

What’s the most common problem business presenters need to fix?

ANSWER:

Dullness, without a doubt! But there are so many ways to be dull! Some are content related. Many are due to poor delivery choices. Regardless of the reasons, dullness is a curable disease. No surgery or heavy medication required! Just a willingness to make a change – to try replacing engrained, unconscious habits with more powerful choices that will eventually become second nature.

We’re ready to help you discover and tap into your unrealized potential!
